What is the importance the County Board to your constituents?

The county provides the majority of the government service to my constituents. The rural areas depend on the Sheriff's department for law enforcement, the highway department to care for the county roads and the clerk for their township levies, etc. The voters of District 1 rely heavily on County Government.

What is a key policy difference between you and your Primary Opponent[s]?

No opponent

The Champaign County Public Nursing Home and the County Board have been featured in the news heavily this past year, how do you feel about this and is there anything voters need to know?

The Nursing Home is a non mandated service of Champaign County. The financial position is much worse than publicized. For the sake of the Patients, Employees and County Government, it should be sold to a Private or Non-profit operator.
