What is the importance of an Illinois State Representative to your constituents in Champaign County?

To have a voice in the Legislature to carry our concerns to the Capitol as well as bring back home the messages from the Capitol.

Why are you qualified to be the Illinois State Representative for the 101st District?

I am a small business owner since 1993 that has met the challenges of staying in business and being successful. I am a public servant who is a retired Assistant Chief in the Cerro Gordo Volunteer Fire Department, a volunteer Cerro Gordo-Bement High Schools football coach since 1987. I have been elected to the Cerro Gordo School District Board of Education since 1997, currently the Board President. I am also a Past President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois as well as the Independent Farm Insurance Agents of Illinois.

What is a key policy difference between you and your Primary Opponent[s]?

Being a small business owner I understand payroll taxes, budgeting and supply & demand. I also know education from serving on our school board in addition to having both a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Education.

Is there anything else you would like to say to an undecided voter in Champaign County?

I am a happily married husband of Jane for the past 34 years. We have a daughter Leah, who is a Senior at Illinois State University and a son Noah, who is a Freshman at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
