To have a voice in the Legislature to carry our concerns to the Capitol as well as bring back home the messages from the Capitol. |
Why are you qualified to be the Illinois State Representative for the 101st District? |
I am a small business owner since 1993 that has met the challenges of staying in business and being successful. I am a public servant who is a retired Assistant Chief in the Cerro Gordo Volunteer Fire Department, a volunteer Cerro Gordo-Bement High Schools football coach since 1987. I have been elected to the Cerro Gordo School District Board of Education since 1997, currently the Board President. I am also a Past President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois as well as the Independent Farm Insurance Agents of Illinois. |
What is a key policy difference between you and your Primary Opponent[s]? |
Being a small business owner I understand payroll taxes, budgeting and supply & demand. I also know education from serving on our school board in addition to having both a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Education. |
Is there anything else you would like to say to an undecided voter in Champaign County? |
I am a happily married husband of Jane for the past 34 years. We have a daughter Leah, who is a Senior at Illinois State University and a son Noah, who is a Freshman at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. |
