For the April 2019 Election

What is the importance of the Village Trustees to residents of Rantoul?

The Village Trustees serve the residents of the village as representatives to oversee and approve of the operations of the village employees, budgets, ordinances, proposing new laws and taxes. They also serve to "check" the mayor, the village executive, and cooperate for the improvement of the village as a whole. Having the right Trustees in place can aid and advance the quality of life of the residents of the village and is therefore important to the residents.

Why are you qualified to be a Village Trustee?

I am qualified because I live in Rantoul and desire to help improve our Village. I have been in church administration for over 25 years and have worked with people in various organizations and have the skills to oversee and manage effectively.

If elected, what is something you want to accomplish on the Board of Trustees, and how long will it take?

I truly have no agenda or "axe-to-grind". I simply would like to help the board manage effectively and cooperate with people for the best interest of Rantoul.

Is there anything else you would like to say to an undecided voter?

I am willing to listen and discuss any issues that you are concerned about dealing with our Village. I believe the best leaders are honest, striving for humility, as they cooperate with others with integrity and good faith. I am not going in to "fight", but to "work" for the betterment of our village.
