101st State Representative Candidate |
|
What is the importance of an IL State Representative to your constituents in Champaign County? |
An Illinois State Representative needs to listen to constituents, advocate on their behalf, and fight for the future of our state. We also must have a representative that champions rural and small community economic development, farm policy that protects the breadbasket of the heartland, and better access to quality healthcare. With my background in collaborative partnerships, I am uniquely qualified to do just that. |
Why are you qualified to be in the Illinois House of Representatives? |
As a mom and nonprofit and education professional, I’ve seen first hand the destruction of our state after a two year long budget impasse. My experiences working within my community, coupled with my background in public administration, will ensure the 101st district has a committed advocate in Springfield. |
What is a key policy difference between you and your Opponent? |
The key difference between me and my opponent is the fundamental role of government in our lives. While my opponent blames regulation for the downfall of our state, I see that there is power in making government work for working class families. We must tackle problems head-on with the belief that politicians are public servants charged with building a better government for our families. |
Is there anything else you would like to say to an undecided voter in Champaign County? |
For too long, the voters in Champaign County and the 101st district have fought along party lines. Right now, we need a representative that is committed to working with Republicans, Democrats, and Independents to ensure a strong future for our working families. As your next state representative, I will ensure to put the needs of the district above party politics and fight for the future of Illinois. |
