What is the importance of the Parkland College Board of Trustees to residents of Champaign County?

The Board of Trustees make important decisions that impact Parkland College and thus Champaign County. There are many different jobs performed by Parkland graduates throughout the area. The presence of Parkland College insures that if anyone in our county wishes to advance their career and/or work towards personal growth that the opportunity is available to them.

Why are you qualified to be on the Parkland Board of Trustees?

I have been a member of the medical executive committee at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign College of Medicine. I also worked with Parkland College by way of their surgical technologist program. I have unique perspective and I will provide valuable contribution.

If elected, what is something you want to accomplish on the Board of Trustees, and how long will it take?

I am looking forward to increasing funding for Parkland College. I want to increase enrollment especially in the medical professions so we have more qualified people to work and improve the healthcare in our community.

Is there anything else you would like to say to an undecided voter?

I am impressed with Parkland graduates and I am proud of the service they provide for this community. I look forward to helping the College as a Trustee.
