What is the importance of the Village Trustees to residents of Rantoul? |
The Village Trustee listens and is the voice for the People of Rantoul. The Trustee makes sure that ordinances and policies passed benefit the Community as a whole not just selected individuals or sections of the community. |
Why are you qualified to be a Village Trustee? |
I am a former Village Trustee having served from 2014-2017. I have served as a a Firefighter with the Village since 2009. I served in numerous leadership roles during my 20 plus years in the United States Army. My current job I handle budget process and bidding for contracts. So I am very familiar with business operations, dealing with people and there specialized needs on a daily basis. |
If elected, what is something you want to accomplish on the Board of Trustees, and how long will it take? |
There has been some programs started during my time on the board and with the current board to promote growth in the Community. I would like to look into ways to build new homes and Commercial properties and eating establishments right away. Whether that be with tax incentives or tax breaks. We need to do something to recruit these builders instead of waiting for them to come to us. That needs to start right away. |
Is there anything else you would like to say to an undecided voter? |
I have always tried to do the right thing with how will this effect someone else. I hope that I am known for being honest, hard working with a caring and can do attitude. I will vote for the hard no instead of voting the easy yes. |
