They also serve to "check" the mayor, the village executive, and cooperate for the improvement of the village as a whole. Having the right Trustees in place can aid and advance the quality of life of the residents of the village and is therefore important to the residents." |

| "My personal outreach efforts have increased, even slightly, the number of registered voters in Rantoul. The number of citizens actively participating in our local political scene is critically low - around 14%. I intend to continue reaching out to neighborhoods and targeting our large rental population to get as many people as possible invested in the local policy formation that impacts their daily lives. To introduce regularly scheduled town halls, in varying locations to make access convenient to residents from all areas, is a goal I think can be accomplished very quickly, within the first few months of being elected. To keep the public interested will require progress on projects made possible with public funds and will continue to be an ongoing effort. " |
