1.) What is the importance of the US Congress to residents of Champaign County? |
Local organizing around issues, creating & sharing resources, and mutual aid is far more important and will have a larger impact on the real lives in our district than any federal campaign, but there are many worthy things to be advocating for on the federal level such as single-payer healthcare, the Green New Deal, and the Homes Guarantee. |
2.) Why are you qualified to be a member of the US Congress? |
The Constitution requires that Members of the House be at least 25 years old, have been a U.S. citizen for at least seven years, and live in the state they represent (though not necessarily the same district). |
3.) If elected, what is something you want to accomplish as a Member of Congress, and how long will it take? |
I discuss the policies and issues I champion on my website and social media. These are unprecedented times with immense obstruction. Anyone seeking this position and predicting the future is either lying or full of hubris. |
4.) Is there anything else you would like to say to an undecided voter? |
Politics shouldn’t be a hobby of the wealthy, and working class lives should not be treated as collateral damage while the rich steer us towards global collapse. |
